Balloon hangman
Balloon hangman is classic hangman without the gallows: a hot-air balloon sinks and deflates with every wrong letter. A hidden word appears with a short clue, and both teams try letters at the same time, each with its own keyboard and balloon. The buttons are in English, but the words and clues are in Spanish.

Y1
Animals, food or school, with two free letters.
Y2
Food, school or the body.
Y3 and Y4
The body, transport and nature; Y4 on hard mixes every topic.
Y5 and Y6
Mostly mixed topics, adding geography, jobs and history words.
Easy, medium or hard
8, 6 or 4 wrong letters allowed. From Y2, hard gives no free letters.
How to play it in class
- Open the game on the interactive whiteboard or a tablet and choose the year and difficulty.
- Put one team on each half of the screen, or let one child play solo.
- Read the Spanish clue together and tap letters: right ones appear in place, wrong ones lower the balloon.
- The first team to complete the word scores. Win by reaching 3 or 4 words, depending on difficulty.

The screen splits in two and each team plays on its own half at the same time.
For one player
One child plays on the whole screen at their own pace: on the whiteboard, a computer or a tablet.

Are the words in English?
No. The interface is in English, but the hidden words and clues are in Spanish, so it fits a Spanish lesson or a bilingual school.
What happens when the balloon lands?
That word ends: it is shown in full and a new word appears for both teams. Nobody scores.
